TV connects residents with the world
Residents in the McDonald Wing Residential Aged Care are connected to the world, thanks to the generosity of the Maffra Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Maffra Lions and Lioness clubs.
Director of Residential Aged Care, Paul Head, said the residents were enjoying watching a new large touch screen television, donated by the three groups.
“The television is connected to a laptop at the rear, enabling residents to Skype with their families and friends all over the world with a large screen for picture,” Mr Head said.
“It can also be used for social inclusion activities. The touch screen interface allows up to six residents to be using it at one time for jigsaw puzzles and other board games.
“The residents have also used it to stream sporting events such as Wimbledon and the cycling.”
Members of the auxiliaries and clubs are pictured with the donated television.
