Stretton Park Redevelopment ready in early 2027
The Stage 3 Redevelopment of Stretton Park aged care facility is expected to be completed in early 2027.
The $2.4 million stage, which has been fully funded by Stretton Park Incorporated, includes 11 renovated rooms with ensuites. Also being renovated is the medication room, the respite room, the accessible public toilet and the activities room, reflecting the requirements of the strengthened aged care standards and creating a more home-like environment for residents.
The project is an investment in the future growth of Stretton Park, according to Chair, Helen Montague.
“It gives our residents the comfort, dignity and modern care they deserve,” the Ms Montague said.
Stretton Park was built as a low care, community-run, not-for-profit residential aged care facility in the late 1970s so has provided services to the Maffra district for more than 45 years.
“Today’s residents often have more complex health needs and many older facilities were never designed with these requirements in mind,” Ms Montague added.
“Residents’ families also expect environments that are safe, welcoming and respectful. Modern, energy‑efficient buildings reduce costs and environmental impact, aligning with contemporary social values.”
Virtue Developments is the builder for Stage 3.
