Community Liaison Committee

Role

The Community Liaison Committee (CLC) is the key community and consumer advisory group for Central Gippsland Health (CGH). The CLC is responsible to the Health Service Board and supports the Board and other consumer groups in the development and implementation of appropriate community and consumer participation strategies relating to:

  • The identification and understanding of community health needs;
  • The operational planning for the programming and servicing of the community’s health needs;
  • The development of CGH’s policies, procedures and programming;
  • Continuous quality improvement and quality accreditation;
  • Community health development and self-supporting health initiatives; and
  • CLC members’ leadership development for community and consumer participation
